There are four main methods of professional upholstery cleaning. There are variations of these methods, but from the perspective of consumers who only important to understand the main methods, as this is what determines what results to expect the consumer and what the cleanup will cost. The driest part of the foam is applied by hand with a natural sponge and dried by hand with a white cotton towel. Due to the nature of this material, it is important that the fabric is dry, when the technician has completed the cleaning. If left on all wet, damage can occur as just drying. The results of this method can be rather poor and very expensive. Only IICRC certified professional cleaner should try this procedure. Another cleaning method this type of fabric is dry cleaning solvent. This technique has yet to be done by hand with no machine. Most soils in the upholstery are based soils water. In many cases, these soils can not be completely removed, leaving clean cloth, but still with a dark dirty appearance. The end result of this procedure could be less acceptable to you. Any cleaning process can only go so far as the fabric allows. Go beyond and can cause damage.

Solvent Dry Cleaning - dry cleaning solvent is exactly what its name implies. Is performed with a dry cleaning solvent. The solvent used is odorless mineral spirits that can be applied in two ways.
