Child Amputee

"The Church of Jesus Christ is the only bright spot in this dark image of Korea." That was said 54 years ago by Arch Campbell missionary-author as he wrote of the devastation that followed the attack in North and South Korea. He offers many examples of this brightness.

Orphans, which is the people of God, welcomed, loved, to enter the kingdom of God by the thousands, little by little the Christian world learns of the terrible tragedy and insists on being included in healing.

Do not know much personally about the "guts" of Korea North today, but I dare say that "the church of Jesus Christ is the only bright spot in this dark image of [North] Korea." This is how Christ is.

Somewhere in the mountains outside of Hoeryong a man of God in secret ministers of God to the hungry prisoners in a concentration camp. I sure. And life goes, and many are rejoicing in eternity are finding life before death.

In a village in the northeast section of the country, I am sure that people returning from a stay in China, where they clashed with the claims of Jesus, those claims now pass to the brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles and more.

Somewhere in a field, a child is through a bright orange balloon covered with verses from the Bible or huge bag of letters for distribution by their parents. Others get on the radio can be connected to the Gospel story. All because Jesus did not allow any nation to perish in the dark without any light.

All we ask in our prayers is that this light will shine a little brighter. A little more transformed lives, a little more than the glory of God in some more expensive. And then some more. Over time, night becomes day.

We love you, Korea North. We will continue praying for you.
