FREEMAN was born in Baltimore, Md., and studied at Johns Hopkins and Colum bia Universities. He began his newspaper career on the Baltimore Sun, and has worked on the New York Evening A fail. New York Herald, Chicago Journal, New York Daily Mirror, Japan Advertiser and the Bangkok Daily Mail.
