Men exposed to highest levels of testosterone in the womb had some interesting thing going on with there hands.  In these men, the ring finger is noticeably longer than their index finger.  In women, the index and the ring fingers are typically about the same length.

There are several interesting facts on the studies about looking on the finger length ratio.  Generally, boys with a very short ring fingers have a higher risk of suffering from ear disease in early adulthood.

Professor John Manning's Studies

Professor John Manning is from the University of Central Lancashire's department of psychology.  He has done extensive research on the finger/testosterone link. He reported that if he had a group of runners and they were about to start a race, he could already predict reasonably well who was going to win based on the length of their fingers! He also reported that homosexual men typically have shorter ring fingers.
