Everyone has heard that content is king when it comes to search engine optimization and only the old normal intelligence web site marketing. However, how you present that content on your site can also make a world of difference.

PHP is a server platform, HTML embedded scripting language that lets you create dynamic web pages. PHP-enabled web pages are treated as HTML pages and can create and edit it as you normally create regular HTML pages.

Now here's where it gets interesting. Search engines like Google Yahoo and MSN love new content is changing daily. But if you are using a JavaScript code snippet search engines not being able to read the content. However, if you are using a PHP script to automatically sort the content is transformed into HTML and search engines will be able to pick it up and read it.

The first thing to do before jumping on the bandwagon of PHP is to make sure your web host supports PHP. Most do, but if you only pay for basic services or use a free host may have to pay for an upgrade. It is well worth it trust me.

One of the best scripts based on PHP you can add to any website is the forum or BBS. Forums will take on a life of its own after more than 100 members have joined and are recording the discussions on a daily basis. If 100 members seems a lot to think again. Another great PHP script you can add is the directory of links. You can actually set up a categorized reciprocal link directory with 20 links on each page and the process is completely automated. I have mine established by what I have to approve each first link, but if you wish, you can go through this so that once your script is configured directory only start to grow alone, without additional work on your part. Again, each time someone adds a new link to the HTML page is changing. Be sure to add categories that are relative to its main theme. My guide, for example, has categories for work from home, internet business and business opportunities, because that is what my site websites in question. Also make sure you have added instructions on how you can link back to you. This is the reason why I like to pass all my liks first. No reciprocal link back to my site does not list directories.

PHP can also be used for blogs. Wordpress is one of the script most popular PHP-based blogging tools. I have not used Wordpress but I use blogger for all my blogs. A weblog (usually shortened to blog, but occasionally when writing web log) is a web-based publication consisting primarily of periodic articles (normally in reverse chronological order). Although most of early weblogs were manually updated, tools to automate the maintenance of such sites made them accessible to a much larger population, and use some sort of browser-based software is now a typical aspect of "blogging." With a web log or blog, you can make daily publications in almost any aimed at creating new content for search engines to crawl.
